Forgive me for not adding Die Krupps and Kraftwerk to the list. :-x
when in reality, you're just a chubby old guy sitting on a shit-brown recliner regretting that Trixter concert you went to in 1990.
I must have missed that one. Concerts in/around 1990 that I went to were Testament, Annihilator, Nuclear Assault, Judas Priest, Slayer, Social Distortion, Megadeth, GWAR, Overkill, etc... etc...

I don't have any favorite bands. But I usually let what's in my car's CD changer speak for my musical mood at the moment:

Strapping Young Lad - For Those Aboot to Rock (Live)
Strapping Young Lad - Strapping Young Lad
Clawfinger - Zeros and Heroes
Overkill - Wreck Your Neck (2-disc live set)
Downset - Check Your People
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
Rammstein - Reise Reise
Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf
Exodus - Temple of the Damned

DLR leaving Van Halen was the 2nd to worst thing to happen to rock music in the 80's. Sammy Hagar taking his place and continuing on as VH was the absolute worst thing.

Like this football season ending when the Jets kicker fucked up two times against Pittsburgh a few weeks ago, Van Halen was over when DLR left. Van Hagar sucks. Van Cherone sucks even more. Have you even seen the VH brothers lately? They're going on next year's dead pool.

Someone on here had to of loved hair metal. It's amazing. Everyone was only going to the conerts of the "good" metal bands like Gwar or some other terrible fucksticks. Don't forget to mention Poison and Night Ranger.
the last group complained, quite tellingly They said, "Why don't you have a spoon that just says 'Earth?' It would save time

I'll say it. Van Halen sucked with David Lee Roth too.

Have you heard either of the last 2 Kreator albums? They're good, and I'm about to order Usurper - Cryptobeast, which is just great. If you'd like to hear any of these, let me know and I can upload/burn copies or whatever. I strongly recommend the Usurper for what you listed in your playlist for metal. And it's new this year!

If you like a bit of German industrial rock, nobody's doing it better than Hanzel Und Gretyl with their 'Scheissmessiah' album from 2004. It really, truly does not get any better than this. I think Worm might like this too, for some reason. But seriously, I'd love for you to hear these.

Well, that's pretty much it holding the instrumental one. I was going to pick up some early Kool Keith and the Ultramagnetic MCs.
Good point Bobby!

I loved that shit, was just a couple years too young for concerts in the mid-late 80s. I started hitting the arenas in the 90s and all the associated rock clubs for smaller acts after that. Never went to any reunion/nostalgia tours, tho. Want to hit up the Priest tour this year, that'll do it for me as far as 80s bands go.

What a great song. Too bad it's only slightly over 2 minutes long.

That's one of the few songs I have playing on Burnout. I think.

That's part of what makes it Ramones-ish in my mind, though it certainly lacks the DIY feel.

Did you know the song already, or just d/l it now?

I had heard it on the 5:30am drive to work one day last summer, downloaded it that night. It also gets played on the alternative station on the satellite dish music channels. It's part of my gettin' drunk playlist.

Actually I downloaded Kreator's latest release - "Enemy of God" a couple of weeks ago. Pretty good - heavy stuff with lots of low end. Kreator is one band that I've always liked - but never was really really into. They get props for sticking around when it seemed that thrash metal was nearing extinction. I also have some of their older stuff from their "Endless Pain" days, some live stuff too. I though "Endorama" was pretty good too - even if it's a bit mellower than their earlier stuff.

Speaking of live Kreator:
4-15-2005 - Aggie Theater - Fort Collins, CO
5-12-2005 - Penny Arcade - Rochester, NY

Never did get to see these guys live. Cool.

Try finding this one - Doomsday News III - Thrashing East Live with Kreator, Tankard, Sabbat and Coroner -- live from East Berlin in 1990.

I wanted to see them with KMFDM on Halloween but my concert buddy is too pussywhipped to go to shows anymore.

They do kinda suck. They had their moment - decided to tour only big cities/festivals and kept on going with more albums that sounded just like the last one.

Alright, Shitcouch. You're not allowed to talk anymore.

First of all, they've had a grand total of three proper studio albums. Hardly enough of a sample size to distinguish such a trend, even if you were that bright. But are you seriously saying that Lateralus sounds like Aenema sounds like Undertow?

Secondly, a snippet from their last tour schedule, clearly emphasizing the "big cities/festivals":

Oct 8 : Billings, MT : Metrapark : -
Oct 10 : Rapid City, SD : Rapid City Civic Center
Oct 11 : Boulder, CO : Coors Event Center
Oct 12 : Orem, UT : McKay Center : -
Oct 13 : Colorado Springs, CO : World Arena
Oct 15 : Sioux Falls, SD : Sioux Falls Arena
Oct 16 : Kansas City, MO : Kemper Arena
Oct 18 : Kalamazoo, MI : Wings Stadium : -
Oct 19 : Erie, PA : Erie Civic Center : -
Oct 20 : East Lansing, MI : Breslin Center
Oct 21 : Indianapolis, IN : Conesco Fieldhouse
Oct 23 : Toledo, OH : Sports Arena : -
Oct 24 : Binghamton, NY : Broome County Arena
Oct 25 : Amherst, MA : Mullins Center : -
Oct 26 : Augusta, ME : Augusta Civic Center :
Oct 28 : Lowell, MA : Tsongas Arena : -
