I appreciate the fact that you drove to Godfather's to get a couple slices of Godfather's pizza. I've never had it. Never!

I never knew Godfather's was anything other than a truckstop Kwik-E mart thing. Huh..

Because of this episode of SC I looked up the Goonies outtakes and saw the octopus scene. I see why it was cut out. I just assumed Data was making stuff up for the reporter.

The scene in the store should have been left in though. It showed what an asshole Troy really is.

Also: I really wanted the secret 8-bit song to be "I Love Rocky Road" by Weird Al.

Godfather's was my dad's favorite pizza chain. When we were kids he would order a combo and my parents would go pick it up and bring it home and tell my sister and I to pick off whatever we didn't like. I'd like to try that today. We always end up with a pepperoni or cheese pizza because my kids will simply go eat something else and whine the entire time.

Not sure if I mentioned it on the episode but 7 of the 8 Godfather's in Oklahoma are those express ones. The 8th one is an original restaurant... 90 minutes from me. Probably not worth the drive. Then again, I've joked about driving 6 hours each way to get White Castles before.

The next episode is Shamus. I'm thinking about eating corned beef and hash or something else Irish-themed, unless you guys can think of anything better.

More and more it looks like Herman Cain should have stuck to making pizza than trying to run for President.

Oh yeah, thank for using the Mafia2 theme music when you were describing the Godfathers pizza history. That was an awesome touch!

Hah! Wow, I'm amazed someone recognized it! I was looking for some Godfather/Mafia-style music but didn't want to use the actual Godfather theme for fear of drawing the ire of iTunes so I searched for "mafia" and found that instead and thought it would be a good fit. I try not to over-produce the show but I thought a little music worked in that part.

If you want Irish you can't really do better than whiskey and no potatoes.

Man, I miss Godfathers. Best chain pizza ever. Never changed their 80s recipe either.

Also, cool show episode, Flack! I didn't even know there were any Goonies games with exception to Goonies and Goonies II made by Nintendo.

This was outstanding. I just wanted to bump it to say that.

Then we should just "Eat It" until we're "Fat."
Given the general rise in expenses and fall in the typical standard of living, the future ain't what it used to be.
