If I am going to go on some sort of cartoon hate spree in the Opening Day thread, I would at least HOPE that you'd be able to call me on it.

Well, I only posted the original NY post because I thought it would get people riled up (success!) In truth, I really don't care one way or the other, and I dislike New Yorkers as much as the next guy, particularly if the next guy is the guy I was sitting next to at the Charlotte International Airport, who said, and I quote, "Man, fuck New York, and fuck New Yorkers."

I guess...

Also, you know, I have a job now? And not one of those jobs that we normally think of as "jobs", where you go to a building to surf for porn and write humor columns in between weekly status meetings. I have to actually, you know... "work"?

If, by "construction", you mean, constructing fine Java web applications, then YES, I guess you could say I got a "construction job".

Well, it's a contract job, first of all, so you get paid only for the hours you "work".

I should totally fucking write a humor column, right here, right at my desk, charging $55/hour the whole time. And make it like a really LONG one that takes the rest of the day to come up with a concept, bang out a first draft, and then revise and perfect... Then upload it to my server over like a 300 baud modem so it takes another half hour to FTP it up there.

I should totally do that.
