I can't believe you've listened to these songs AND still not yet been able to discern what constitutes a "sick drop", but on the other hand, I can totally believe that.Tdarcos wrote:Again, what is a sick drop?
Listen to this song, at around the 0:40 mark. Do you hear how it goes from what I'd describe as "elevator-electronica" into a fury of bass scratches and wub wub wubs and all that other noise?
That constitutes a "sick drop". It "drops" into a world of bass, drums, computerized wubs and general rhythmic hysteria. This drop, in particular, I would characterize as "sick", which is how the kids say "sweet" or "groovy" or "awesome" or whatever other word you understand to mean the same thing.

When you need my help because I'm ruining everything, don't look at me.

Here is a song that I have been listening to recently. Does it even have a drop?? I do know that it is licensed Creative Commons, commercial use OK, so y'all gonna be hearing a lot of it in two years, yo.
(This is a 16 year old kid from Scandinavia. He is a genius.)
