Indiana Jones - Temple of Doom

Post by Jizaboz »

Playing this at a relatively local arcade (thank god, finally) today I noticed the machine was in a mode I hadn't seen before.. no option to add another quarter for 7 lives. Also, it looked like the machine wasn't saving scores after power-offs. Yet, there was no "attraction sound".

Having played the game before a lot in arcades years back and then playing it on MAME since then, this set-up seems a bit weird to me and I'm also questioning if this game ever saved scores at all after reset. The MAME version will keep some dip switch settings such as attraction sound and number of lives, but the damn scores also reset. We also have "Save states are not officially supported on this title".

Anyway, I'm still trying to crush someone high score at the arcade.. even if it only lasts a day I guess.
