NEXT BAND: Machinae Supremacy

A mix of rock, 8-bit chip tunes, ballad influences, nordic sensibilities and video game inspired lyrics (they created a Word of Warcraft theme called "loot, burn, rape, kill, repeat" and have various other songs such as "Player One," "Super Steve" and make other various digs on now glossed over video game methods and forms), they should be at least vaguely interesting to everyone here.

And I couldn't pass up exposing all of you to "Player One."

1 - Great music, right?
2 - the lead singer is totally smoking, isn't he?

Pretty cool! I was all 'haha they sound like Children of Bodom lite" and then looking them up, they opened for...Children of Bodom. I hadn't heard of them before, thanks!

As far as I can hear, any no-talent hack group can put together a bunch of trash can banging and over-loud machine-generated noise and claim it's music.

Let's hear someone put together something you can listen or dance to other than in a rave, zonked out on X.
Given the general rise in expenses and fall in the typical standard of living, the future ain't what it used to be.

Alright smart/fat guy, youtube us one of your favorite tracks then. Let's hear what TDR considers ace tunes.

(BTW, the band in this thread is terrible, and this thread lessens us all.)
When you need my help because I'm ruining everything, don't look at me.

So says the man who based his name off of a rock band that is known for being marginally better than White Snake.

(Youtube link to 'Chilldren of Bodom - Are You dead yet?'
They should have named the song 'Are You Deaf Yet?' It more-or-less confirms what I said in the quote from me.

Depends on what you want to hear. If you want something with a bit of 'bite' or some, I guess, hard rocking, there's this:

Or this:

One of my favorites (It gets to me, somehow, even now):

For something less hard, there's this, and it's from 1964:

And for those who think Barry Manilow is just soft stuff, consider this:

"It's Game Over man, Game Over!"
- Bill Paxton, Alien 2 (or Aliens, or Aliens 2 or whatever they called it)
