Lots Of Little Movie Reviews

Post by pinback »

With my idea of what Kathy might say:

Dawn of the Dead (the original): Was told this was a classic. I agree, in the sense that it might be the worst movie I've ever seen. Are you kidding me? I thought it was truly awful until they starting hitting zombies in the face with pies. Then I knew it was the wors--- BUT IT'S SOCIAL COMMENTARY!!!! -- shut the fuck up, the worst movie of all time. KATHY: "I can't believe I thought I liked that pile of shit."

The Lives of Others: A well done, well-acted piece of artsy drama that you will like if you like well done, well-acted pieces of artsy drama. KATHY: "I knew how the story was going to play out ten seconds into it. Yawn?"

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning: I never saw the original, and I didn't see the remake, so I went into this KNOWING that it was going to be terrible, and holy shit, it wasn't. It had enough decent timing and sense of humor and R. Lee Ermey that I just enjoyed the heck out if it. KATHY: "Yeah, what he said."

4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days: One shot per scene, that's what you're in for. And often the camera doesn't move. There is a 10+ minute scene showing one woman sitting at a dinner table, saying nothing while the rest of the people at the table babble on about crap. You are either from the camp that says "an intolerably boring, pretentious piece of crap", or the camp that says that this is a riveting, unique piece of filmmaking, and the best abortion movie I've ever seen, or: KATHY: "An intolerably boring, pretentious piece of crap."

Those are some movies what we seen lately.
When you need my help because I'm ruining everything, don't look at me.

"Some dude talked a while to some other dudes, and on a cellphone to some chick, and then some shit blew up. A chick was crying. Engines revving, and then more shit blew up. Wedding bells. Everyone left the theatre."

Does R. Lee FIGHT Leatherface? That is all I wish to know, and will rent or avoid this movie based on the answer.
