Sabres vs Avalance, 10/26/2008

It was an alright game. Avs won 2-1 in a shootout. Unlike last time, there was no fighting and there was not a penalty shot.

I went in a limo to the game! Someone from a local (to Denver) Sabres group had two hummer limos there! I put on my new mirrored shades while we were taken there. Okay, no I didn't do that.

The funniest thing I've ever heard at a sporting event was also said. Midway into a lull in the second period, an Avs fan shouts, "BUFFALO SUCKS!"

About one, maybe two seconds pass and from farther away we hear someone yell, "THAT'S NOT TRUE!!!"

You probably had to be there, and timing was part of it, but that second bit had our entire section cracking up. I chortled the longest, but I guess that's because that's my kind of hockey screeching.

Also, on the walk back - man, this "shootout win" thing: Denver, you were way too cocky over a shootout win. Buffalo still got a point in the standings tonight.
