Rochester question.
Does the name "Jay's Diner" ring familiar to any Rochester people?
When you need my help because I'm ruining everything, don't look at me.

It used to be a converted dining car from a train. It's been remodeled and expanded to a full size restaurant. Still in the same spot on W. Henrietta Rd.

Yeah... umm... that ain't what he's famous for.pinback wrote:"Jay" moved to Myrtle Beach and is friends with my mom. Apparently they're famous for having the world's best clam chowder?
I dunno. Have him make some for your mom, and see if she can report back to us.

Jays dinner also gets crack whores filtering in from the city. I've only been there once it was 2am on a "saturday" night and there were crack whores trying to get people to buy them dinner. Not being knuckles either, the food pretty much sucked as well.
the last group complained, quite tellingly They said, "Why don't you have a spoon that just says 'Earth?' It would save time

Jays..
Jays is a little less erm... sketchy since it was remodeled part of the popularity derives from the fact that it's 24 hours. Other 24 hour restaurants in Rochester include Gitsis and Marks on Monroe Avenue. There are one or two IHOPs kicking around but I'm not 100 percent sure that they are 24-7. Princess was, but is no more (alas, alack). As for the seafood/clam chowder at any of the above mentioned establishments... I would feel more comfortable eating a slightly used PB & J sandwich discarded by a strange 7 year old.
