Hey Kevin. I wanted to see what was going on next week, because I'll have some time Wednesday or Thursday night to meet if you want to meet down in Culver City to discuss the project plan and some of the remaining design stuff.

I guess I could have sent you an email, but I thought it more appropriate to have this private, personal conversation with someone that nobody else knows or cares who the hell they are right here on this public forum.

Get back to me when you can, preferably right here in this thread so everyone can be bored to death by our back-and-forth discussion about crap that they couldn't possibly give two shits less about.

I don't know what it is, but Pinback becomes a complete asshole whenever someone who has ever lived in Rochester shows up.

*shrug* Whatever. I haven't lived there in a decade and then some, so I certainly doubt I've got the stink of white hots and Genny Light on me any more.

I was under the, apparently mistaken, assumption that the rules here were similar to the rules when I was calling the Jolt Country BBS way back in the day. That is, that I didn't have to take great pains to remain as businesslike as possible, and carefully nuture the bandwidth of others. Ah, well. My mistake, I suppose.

What really gets me is that the new person in question isn't just some random Googler who typed in "assjacking christpuncher" and wound up here. No, the person you've decided to all be dicks to in this case is not only the most important, special person in my life, but also someone I was definitely hoping to introduce to at least a couple of you in real life.

If you can't work up an ounce of decency for him, then you are all truly hopeless, and I should shut this place down, except for the Top 100 Games thread, which I really would like to see how it ends some time in my lifetime.

To be clear, Pinback has, by being thoroughly rude and indecent, pretty much ruined any short-term possibility of us all being real-life friends. Aardvark has now joined that crew, but who gives a fuck about him.

Imagine an irc bot that banned everyone who tried to talk because the owner "preferred it quiet." Now, replace the bot with three dimwitted assholes with various technology/karma related fetishes, and a constant bout of self loathing.

I can't figure out if I'm one of those 3 people or not. I've done my share of running off, but I can't say I'm in the same league as at least 3 other buffoons and malcontents.

My occasionally running people off, although not on the same level as "the sun occasionally rises", is definitely akin to "The Saints occasionally make a good drafting decision". While it does not happen often, when it does, it happens in spectacular fashion.
