Red Wings suck
after a lot of booze, and watching them lose satisfyingly to a team I don't care about at all today, I can say this in all confidence: I fucking hate the Detroit Red Wings, and no victory by any team that I actually root for is as satisfying as watching that band of douchebags go down in flames.
I hope this isn't cursing things. Go Oilers.
Good night,
me

I hate the 49ers because Steve Young was a prissy, spoiled little bitch who couldn't make his mark turning around a truly terrible franchise (the Bucs of the 80s) and then reacted as if he had never thrown a football pass before when one of his receivers that never truly needed him caught one.
And they were cap cheats.
And I hate their fans. The only one I ever met that wasn't a craven, bandwagonning, know-nothing dipshit was the guy I used to run Caltrops with.
I think Chris Chelios is one of the most hated guys in all of sports, too -- it's stunning how little love this guy gets. I like how he was climbing onto the American Olympic hockey team, too, to give people who didn't have a dog in the Western Conference all sorts of new reasons to hate him.
I also just saw the New York Yankees score in every inning against the Blue Jays, but I am confident that when we had similar payrolls they went home and we won multiple World Series. We're gonna send them home this year, too, at half the payroll, which is really all we need to stay competitive with them, which is hilarious in their own right.
I am anti-pulling with you for the Red Wings as well, gsggsd. God bless!

The above post was only about the tenth most retarded thing I did while drunk last night. Good show, me!
The Avalanche won today and advanced. I was just hoping that they'd get two wins in the first round. If the Red Wings now lose, the first round of the playoffs will be packed with more happiness than I can reasonably handle.

Red Wings lost in one of the more amazing games I've seen in a while, so they're out, and the Avalanche already advanced. I'm a pretty happy hockey fan.
Unfortunately the Sabres just scored their fifth goal of the game, so it's looking unlikely the Flyers will move on too. Sorry Robb. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Good for you. I am pulling for Carolina to win it all because that's where Recchi is, but Buffalo is the next team I'd like to see win it. If Recchi gets hurt or something the Sabres move RIGHT to that top spot.Jack Straw wrote:Buffalo wins 18 seconds into OT in Game 1 against Ottawa. 7-6 muthafucka.
Guess who's got tickets to game 3 in buffalo? boh.
For me, I mean. Goddamn it sucks that the Whalers became the Hurricanes. I would pay $200 for a Mark Recchi Hartford Whalers jersey. In fact, I think that Philly fans eventually would have put me off their team and I would have switched to the Whalers at some point. But greed being greed, that can never happen.

..that game kicked ass. Won in OT, waited about 3 hours to get out of the parking garage, the whole time people burning out their horns trying to play "let's go buffalo" on their minivan steering columns.
Is anyone watching this game in Ottawa and completely sickened by the obviously biased officiating?
edit:
WE WILL PREVAIL.
The sabres deserves that! *5* icings called against buffalo, 2 in OT. *0* against ottawa. Shorthanded goal by Pominville to win in OT, they get a much needed recuperation after being molested physically with not even a penalty to show about it (did you see the 3 ottawa guys wailing on miller after he covered up?)
BOOFUCKINYEAH

Yup yup... Created and operated by Disney - as were the LA Angels (erm.. Just operated and used in a line of stupid kid flicks). Until that is, the company decided that associating their name with a bunch of half ass teams inspired by crappy pop culture fads every single human being is actively trying to forget... Might actually be a bad thing.
They sold off the Angels to some mexican oil tycoon, and last I heard, they were still trying to pawn off the ducks.

Fuck'em alright.
Although, Disney owning a sports team is in a profound way, the naked truth.
I mean; do all levels of managment and ownership of any given sports team, feel even half as passionate as the fans?
Isn't it mainly about spawning a franchise people can feel passionate about, merely to encourage them to spend their money buying whatever crappy merchandise and pay-per-view options made available?
