Senate Bill 2633 (The RAVE Act) is an attempt by legislators to reduce theillegal use of ecstasy (MDMA) by re-writing the "crack house law" so that it can be better used to shut down raves, clubs, bars, etc.. In addition, this legislation adds a $250,000 civil liability clause to the existing criminal penalties of up to 20 years imprisonment and $500,000 fine. This legislation could have a devastating effect on the electronic dance musiccommunity. (for more info go to www.rpmonline.org/roar)

This gives the government the power to shut down clubs and arrest the owners, managers, or promoters on the grounds that they are providing these places for the purpose of drug use. Without letting your Senator know to vote against the RAVE act, the bill will force clubs in many cities and states to close.
BRING THE FOLKS, YOUR YOUNGER BROTHER AND SISTERS!! THIS IS ALL AGES .EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!!! MAKE SIGNS TO PROTEST!!

Me and straw went to the IDance last year in Toronto..same theme..in front of city hall....15,000 people showed up...

i mean if pacman affected me as a kid,
i'd be runing around in dark rooms,
munching magic pills
and listening to
repetitive electronic music.~~

I am pro Governement Intervention

Post by msherwin »

Instead of the government making laws to shut down Raves and prevent the spread of the "evil" drug ectasy, I say the governement infiltrate these raves and infuse them with a collection of much harder drugs such as crack and heroin. You see I have no problem with the whole scene, atmosphere, glow sticks, chanting, DJ George Acosta, or hooking up with 15 year-old girls (especially the last part) or whatever mystical trances the music may put people in. I just generaly despise large groups of youths in any form and would find it funny to jump start the next generation of crack-whores and needle junkies.
Same idea goes for Bible Camps, 4-H and Epcot Center.

I really have no business in this Topic, or know anything about Raves, but Robb asked me to post more.
