If you hate baseball, this is the day for you!
My world is so rocked I don't have links yet. How can these guys be on roids!? How is this happening? I always took that "money and riches gives you a big head" bit literally!! What the fuck?!! A bunch of Yankees and Barry Bonds are on roids?! This can't be! They're so goddamn LIKEABLE.

I'll make the obvious joke because it needs to be said: since Jeremy Giambi also did the juice, there's clear evidence that it does not enhance performance.pinback wrote:See how tha MAN is always tryin' to keep tha BROTHAs down?? Even in tha 2-to-tha-K-to-tha-foh??
(Oh, and Giambi. The man is also tryin' to keep him down.)
Well, in baseball anyway. Maybe he can fuck groupies better. I guess we'll find out next time he's in town YOU GAY BITCH.

At least Giambi had the nads to ADMIT he took them.
Unlike Bonds, who just said that he knew these things as "the clear" and "the cream". The guy bulks up crazy like in 5 years after taking an "arthritis cream", and claims not to know they are steriod. Bullshit.
I say revoke his 7 MVPs on principle.

Yeah in court during grand jury testamony that wasn't supposed to come out. When asked 5 billion times otherwise he lied. This is the reason my Indians can't compete. What a joke!Da King wrote:At least Giambi had the nads to ADMIT he took them.

I'm with you, totally. I had a feeling that it was going to come out that Bonds took steroids, but he'd engage in some face-saving maneuver. He's too much of an unrepentant asshole to do otherwise. Giambi, however, isn't pure, concentrated evil and was OK with admitting it.Da King wrote:At least Giambi had the nads to ADMIT he took them.
I was probably one of the last guys who didn't abhor Bonds who wasn't a Giants fan. I don't know if I really care if these guys are on steroids. There really isn't enough hours in the day to get worked up about it. And even him lying about it isn't the worst thing in the world. But being so fucking arrogant coupled with one lie after another for ten years.... what a fucking worthless asshole.

You can cut Giambi, but you still have to pay him. That contract is guaranteed and he is utterly unemployable. Nobody else could take even a portion of it.chris wrote:I'm hoping that the Yankees use this as an excuse to get rid of Giambi....I think they'd be better off with Olerud at 1st and Tony Clark (or Tino Martinez, if they get him back) as his backup.
This would have, by the way, CRIPPLED the A's, if they had signed him to the deal they offered him. Beane is a genius. He wanted to "come in second" towards signing Giambi because while he loves fat guys that can mash, their shelf life is very, very short. (Which is why I'm perplexed that Delgado hasn't had an offer yet -- a first baseman who will give you a top-five MVP season every year who is actually in shape? Who doesn't have rolls of goo hanging off him? What a concept!)
The A's would have been in last place for the next seven years if they played ball with that cheating, mindwashed loser. The Yanks'll just write it off, no big deal.
What's your right field fence at these days? 230? 210? Olerud was made for that park. He's gonna be fine.

If the best homegrown player in franchise history becomes a Yankee you will see NO END of shit from me regarding your team. I will rename this base the "Yankees Haters Anonymous" base, only nothing will be anonymous.

Have the roids eaten his brain too?Knuckles the CLown wrote:BTW, I saw Lebron James at Krispy Kreme the other day. I was gonna say hi, but he keeps 10 dudes around him to prevent people like me from doing that sort of thing.
I mean, which is easier: go into Krispy Kreme with ten dudes to keep your public away, or sit in your limo and send ONE of your ten dudes in to buy a bag of donuts?

I disagree. Olerud proved last year that he has a few years left in him, and Clark is actually a pretty good 1st baseman and can hit now and again. Both are better than Giambi, who is a mediocre 1st baseman at best, and hasn't hit well since joining the Yankees. Olerud being a lefty makes him tailor-made for Yankee Stadium and it's short right field porch (314 ft. if I remember correctly).Da King wrote:Clear house (Olerud is too old, and Clark is too shitty) and bring in Delgado!

If Olerud had gone straight from the Jays to the Yankees, I suspect he'd be a viable HoF candidate right now. Instead he sprayed all over the Mariners' park, which is nice, but not doing anything for him, and played for the Mets which makes everyone hate you.chris wrote:I disagree. Thats nice. But you're wrong! ;)chris wrote:I disagree.
Olerud's power has dropped CONSIDERABLY the last two years (in his "prime", he was only good for 20 HRs a year... the last 2 years, he's dropped to 10) as as his batting average (his "prime" he was a .300+ hitter... the last 2 years, he's been a .260 hitter). He brings nothing to the table.Olerud proved last year that he has a few years left in him, and Clark is actually a pretty good 1st baseman and can hit now and again. Tony Clark is just painful to watch at the plate. Quite possibly the worst hitting 1B in major league baseball. I dont think he's ever had a clutch hit in his career.

He played for friggin' Seattle the last few years. As soon as he came to the Yankees, his batting average went way up. He also flashed some fine leather at 1st. I guess it's a moot point now....the Yankees didn't offer either him or Clark arbitration.Da King wrote: Olerud's power has dropped CONSIDERABLY the last two years (in his "prime", he was only good for 20 HRs a year... the last 2 years, he's dropped to 10) as as his batting average (his "prime" he was a .300+ hitter... the last 2 years, he's been a .260 hitter). He had some big hits as a Yankee. If anything, he would make a great backup 1st baseman...he's definitely better on the base than Giambi.Tony Clark is just painful to watch at the plate. Not true. He's one of the best defensive first basemen in the game. I understand what you're getting at, that he's not much of a power hitter at a traditional power position. I just wanted to point out that you clearly don't understand a thing about baseball, unless Harold Reynolds has talked about it in a segment of 15 seconds or less.Da King wrote:Olerud's power has dropped CONSIDERABLY the last two years (in his "prime", he was only good for 20 HRs a year... the last 2 years, he's dropped to 10) as as his batting average (his "prime" he was a .300+ hitter... the last 2 years, he's been a .260 hitter).
