A post in one of the other threads gave me a good idea. Let's all try to come up with the best movie of any particular genre. Since the genre that was being discussed was "Disaster Movies", let's start with:
Disaster Movies
------------------------
Let's see. I haven't seen too many of them. If "Titanic" counts, then I nominate "Titanic". However, if it doesn't...
Hmmm.
That IS a toughie.
Any ideas?
Best of Genre.

How about that one where gene Wilder dresses up in a purple frock coat and invites a bunch of dysfunctional kids over to his place and gives them LSD in candy. Then these little orange dudes start coming out of the walls and everything gets real weird. Thats a REAL disaster movie.

OK, enough levity.
the first 'Airport' movie. I like the nervous sweaty guy with the bomb in his briefcase. How many times would he be shot dead if they had metal detectors and sniffer dogs back then?
STEW: "May I take that briefcase for you, Mr. Nervous Sweaty guy?"
NSG: "NO! I mean..um, no thank you. I'll just go sit down here, by the wing..and the engine."
STEW: Oopsie! we dropped our detonator battery. Here you are. Have a nice flight."
