[Review] Happy Gilmore

I didn't see this originally because I figured it wouldn't be funny. But then every time I say I haven't seen it, someone goes, "oh, DUUUDE you gotta see it!"

So, now I did.

It wasn't funny.

Actually, two parts were funny:

1. The opening credits, and
2. Anything with the uncredited Ben Stiller in the nursing home. HAAAAhahahaa. That was good.

All the golf stuff was stupid. Most of the Adam Sandler stuff was stupid (except for the screaming and yelling at the ball thing, which I liked). The story was, of course, idiotic, which is okay in a comedy, but what's not okay is when the comedy is not funny.

One and a half stars.

Maybe I've missed something that's been said in the past (since I'm fairly new here), but.....

Are you ever going to review a movie that ISN'T in the $1.99 discount bin at Media Play?

Tell you what, smart guy, just ship me all the DVDs you'd like me to review, or send me all the cash for the first run flicks you'd like my opinions on, and I'll get 'em right out to ya.
