Not being sarcastic for once.
I had $10 down that the final score in the Indy/KC game would be between 63 and 70 points... 8-1 odds.
4th and 3, 12 seconds to go, from the 29 or so yard line... a 46 yard FG would put the Colts up by 10, meaning the game would be out of reach for KC. They've got the best FG kicker in the game... Vanderjagt hadn't missed a FG all year long. A 46 yarder was a chipshot for him.
I figured they'd kick the FG, go up by 10, and shut down the game. They'd win 41-31, and I lose my bet.
But no! Coach Dungy decides to run a play, take more time off the clock, and bank on his defense to hold out on one really long play.
KC get the ball... they run one play, come up way short, Indy wins 38-31, and Da King wins $80.
Tony Dungy for Coach of the Year!
(Also, I'm rooting for the Colts to win the 'Bowl. The Colts are just a solid organization.)
Hey, thanks Coach Dungy.
