Sorry guys but watching "sports" often includes "drinking" and "laughing". Both of these activities fall under "harmless recreation" and are now illegal.

Plus, your statement "You can all blow me" qualifies as solicitation to oral contact which along with sodomy and adultry is now illegal.

That's two strikes, one more and I'm afaid i must kill you.

Can we not try to alienate me off of the board by these hilarious "U MUST LEIK GOD 2 MUCH" post? This is over and done with. I voiced a belief and someone obviously couldn't handle it. This is over. It's cute being a scum bag and posting my name as some unfun shit in every post ... seriously don't. Really though, this isn't how the board is supposed to work. Stay spiteful on topic.
Good point Bobby!

Mission accomplished. Where should I send the shirt?

Also, highlights included "I Know Your Love is Waning," "Lumberlung," a cover of Neil Young's "Powederfinger," and a really slow bluesy wretchedly sad "Josephine."

And, of course, everyone's favorite, "Trust Jesus."

Thanks a million. I'll PM you the address -- let me know how much I owe you.

So they were good? I'd ask for more set details, but that'll just boost my jealousy. I'll just keep up my low-grade general jealousy instead.

Damn, I wish they'd play here on a night when both a) I'm in town, and b) I can get off work.

I've been crappy about seeing shows lately-- saw Lucinda Williams (excellent) and the Jayhawks (eh) last week, was thinking about seeing Richard Buckner last night but fell asleep in front of the TV instead.

I heard some Slobberbone songs. Can anyone reccomend a good album to get into them on? Preferably something not brand new.

"Everything You Thought Was Right Was Wrong Today" but really you can't go wrong with any of them.

Yeah, "Everything" is probably the best album. "Barrel Chested" is more rock, but "Everything" shows off the talent more.

But every single thing they do is Godlike genius.

Is there any reliable place to get them cheap? I know Monster Magnet has their albums up for twelve to fourteen bucks.

half.com is probably your best bet. The band web site sells 'em for $15 a pop. And of course, there's always the eBay route -- they show up there through the "1 cent CD" sellers a fair amount.

Bruce---

You familiar with a Slobberbone song called, uh, "Songs"? It's a studio track, fairly hard to find. I've seen it hinted that this is a bonus track from an overseas "Slippage" version, but haven't been able to confirm that. It's oddly difficult to get info as to its pedigree, and I'm wondering about it.

Anyway, great song, very much on the rockin' end of the Slobberbone spectrum. Curious whether you know anything about it.
