Sports writers on radio

Post by Ice Cream Jonsey »

Here's my impression of every single sports writer who has been interviewed on radio recently:
Stuttering local host: So, (sports writer), what do you think of how (local team) has been playing?

Sports writer: Um... yeah.... (worthless take)

Stuttering local host: So, um, yeah, so, what do you, um, uh, think of, um, the All-Star game, um, uh, uh, new format, this time it counts, um:

Sports writer: Um, yeah... (worthless take)

Stuttering local host: The Royals have certainly shown that you don't need a large payroll to compete, haven't they?

Sports writer: Um... yeah... (worthless take, unique from the others due to the fact that although he starts off agreeing with the idiotic local host, he then talks for a minute completely refuting the idiotic local host's idiotic comment).
I blame myself, of course. I recently found where ESPN Radio had been moved to out here. They slapped it at 560 AM -- it was previously around 1300. Hey, I guess better 560 than the alternative. If they had brought it down any farther it would have been on "indigo." Nice to see them keep it still technically on the radio part of the spectrum. Anyway, after finding ESPN Radio I've been switching between that and the local station at 760. Where I would normally listen to 760 for four minutes, and then tune to the pop stations on the FM dial for the six minute (and, starting at 7:15pm, the, literally, ELEVEN minute fucking commercial break) break I'm now over at the other end, getting sports overload.

Luckily, this all ends for me in one day, as my commute goes from like 95 minutes on a bad day to five.

I wish there was some sort of interactive portion of this thread (What sports radio pisses YOU off, LOL?!!) but I guess there's not. Ah, whattya gonna do.
