Re: Sinead
I had this killer idea of performing "Nothing Compares.. to hair" back when I was 12 for the school talent show complete with razors sticking out of my head with fake blood. Mom (RIP) thought it was an excellent idea as I already had people picking on me for shaving my head due to the heat of skateboard helmets around here in the summer. In the skatepark world, I had an older friend who shaved both his head and his eyebrows and wore Sinead style glasses while saying "Fook the poop".
tldr; I never cared for her singing or the Cranberry "yaa dyrr yaa zombie eh eh ah oh" shit. I have weird taste in female singers though as I mentioned. Japanese lounge style, Kim Gordan style, basically anything other than "modern" mainstream style. The same goes for dudes. If I want to hear some depressive male sing some shit I'll just listen to Leonard Cohen sing Master Song or Stories of the Street for the 1000th time. Too much emo is awful. Dinosaur Jr is much more of my sort of emo style; not too much emo past "Quest".

Pretty sure she killed herself in the day she was supposed to record her song with Bad Wolves. She had some hard times.

Okay, you guys have to sort your handles out, nobody knows who the fuck is talking about what. We don't need 10 variations of that handle.
Casual Observer, just use your normal account. Go use the "Foes" function for all the people you hate here.
Blue, please use your other one, you can initiate a password reset on whatever computer you're using to post this.
10 people with variations of "Casual Observer" is making slop out of the conversations here.

I apologize but I do not have access to my email at this time and do not know my password.

Are you sure? I thought the Cranberries' Zombie was sung by Delores Riordan, who has been a guest of our "I can't believe TDarcos outlived..." thread.Jizaboz wrote: Wed Mar 15, 2023 1:55 am tldr; I never cared for her singing or the Cranberry "yaa dyrr yaa zombie eh eh ah oh" shit. I

Yeah bro I'm not the one confused here (and neither are you). Sinead is still alive. Delores not so much..Tdarcos wrote: Wed Mar 15, 2023 8:18 amAre you sure? Re: Sinead
What a singer. Her three best songs were Amarantine, Champagne from a Straw, and Million Years Ago.

I loved her work on Peter Gabriel’s album “Us.” Come Talk to Me and Blood of Eden are just lovely duets.Not-so-casual Observer wrote: Tue Mar 14, 2023 7:28 pm Any Sinead O'Connor fans?
All Irish descendants should remember Ireland's Patriot dead! 1916!
I cannot put the link up, I'm sorry.
It's not working for me.
Just go to YouTube and type in
"Sinead Foggy Dew."
She also had a great song in the late 90s/early 00s called No Man’s Woman that we spun a shitload on WBER.
And she was WAY ahead of the curve on calling out sex abuse in the Catholic Church, which nuked her pop career and earned the ire of Joe Pesci, among others. But, turns out, she was spot on.
