You would benefit from one of those MP3 devices that broadcast a radio frequency. You fill it with songs, put it in your truck and dial your truck's FM dial to the MP3 frequency. That's probably the best solution for you.

Couldn't tell you. Then again, I have never heard a Led Zeppelin Song, nor do I care to, so I am probably not the person to ask.

If you have a tape deck, a cassette adapter will yield far greater sound quality than the staticy shit the FM transmitter spits out.

"Stairway" was on the fourth, untitled album. June of '72 I believe. I'm going to hazard a guess here...Atlantic SD15342 was the Label no.
Now I'm gonna go lookit up.

Haha, I used to have that tape mechanism that went to a portable CD player. I would constantly get pissed off because the CD player would skip. I should find a device that does tape player - to - flash-based MP3. That'd be awesome.

They skip. Can be remedied easily by putting it on top of a thick sweatshirt or towel. Worked everytime, and a small price to pay for having my cds in a car with only a tape deck. This is how I spent a year in my work truck :)

Yeah, why would anyone want to hear a Zeppelin song?

The Led Zeppelin thing was a throw away line.
I picked the most played song of all-time as an example.
I am neutral on Led Zepplin whatever....
But is funny for the clods (hygraed) here to pretend to not have even heard a Led Zeppelin song? Did I miss a another inside joke? Someone here is so in tune and beyond us all musically that it proffesses to have never ever heard a Led Zeppelin song before????

The vast majority of classic rock doesn't interest me. Sorry, but I don't know what to tell you other than that. It's not some kind of inside joke or avant-garde artistic statement, it's just that I would rather listen to Tom Waits or Mr. Bungle than Led Zeppelin or AC/DC.
However, I will torrent and listen to whatever album Stairway to Heaven was on if you like.

Its one of those things you can't get away with even if you tried. If you ever watched TV you have accidentaly heard a LZ song. Or been on a bus with a radio or something. I would think anyone who has lived in this country for more than a year would be exposed to them at least on accident.
There is no reason to listen to the "4" album, I like Stairway to Heaven myself, it's not its fault it has been played a million times, I enjoy a few other TUNES by them as well but am by no means a classic rock junkie. They were important, I recognize that- give them their due credit and don't go out of my way to listen to them.

Okay, I probably have heard one somewhere without being aware of what it was, but I wouldn't actively seek their music out and listen to it on my own.
Now let's get back to talking about shitty bands. :)

I don't listen to them much anymore, but they were without question the greatest rock band in history.
I don't want to be THAT GUY, the guy who says "oh, their most famous song is like, so much worse than their good stuff", but Stairway to Heaven is like, so much worse than their good stuff.

Their unplugged special was great though, I enjoyed it much more than their other stuff. It wasn't because of page and plant though, it was all of the other musicians (an orchestra, a shitload of ethnic drums and instruments) that really added to it.

Zep 4, of course (I have not looked at the rest of the thread yet, on purpose).
Bruce
P.S. Or was your point going to be "Zofo? Zoso? Fuck, I dunno how you say that. The fourth one."

I guess, i was never into them enough to search. To me its a standard bearer of a good/interesting song
