Bands I Hate
I hate the Arcade Fire. Though I have never heard an Arcade Fire song.
I have several search grommits working on Craig's List and eBay to alert me when the word "arcade" shows up. On Craig's List, I can tell every time that fucking band comes round because the entirety of my RSS feed is taken up by desperate losers trying to go to the show or sell tickets to the show.
eBay is just as bad and reflects just as badly on the fans: I have a pricing minimum at around $65 for arcade items BUT STILL Arcade Fire tickets show up. Why are you paying that much to see a disposable "alternative" band? (Note: I have no idea what they play.) Jesus Christ, you morons.

I hate Amy Winehouse, though she isn't a band. However, she is horrible in every other way possible.
Can she sing? No.
Is she a dynamic performer? No.
Is she good-looking? Gack.
Is the music behind her remotely listenable? Absolutely not.
Is she overhyped to the point where people are actually duped into thinking this is a talented artist? Way, way, way.
Blechh. They tried to make me listen to Amy Winehouse, and I said no, no, no.

That's the wrong video, by the way.
I HATE every "artist" that uses that electronic bullshit that makes it sound as if they can hit different notes. I guess it's not enough to amp up their weak ass voices or add delay to make it sound more substantial. I can't imagine why they don't think we can hear the difference between a voice hitting different notes and an electronic tone. Sure, Cher was doing it years ago but now it's in every other fucking song on the radio.

Hatred is a very good thing to start a thread over. That and booze - but more on that later.
It saddens me to hear that the Arcade Fire is a good band. What are the odds that they can change their name to the Pokemon Fire or something? Just for me.
Personally, I also hate ever other single band name that was created after, oohhh, say Green Day. Anyone post-them really has a terrible name.

I like Arcade Fire and you know nothing about music anymore so I win!Ice Cream Jonsey wrote:I hate the Arcade Fire. Though I have never heard an Arcade Fire song.

I had a chance to listen to Blue October, and I listened to the song you hate most, the appropriately titled, "Hate Me." I hated it! I don't know who that's a big win for.
I don't think I have gone to the FM dial in my car's radio in six months. It's been exclusively AM radio (which is TERRIBLE in Denver) and CDs (which is TERRIBLE in my car because it's all pop-punk, and even though I listen to it I know it's not any good).

I still say that the best thing about the Human Resource Center was the name.
I fucking despise Linkin Park. If they spent half the energy they put into whining into soloving the shit they're whining about, they would have nothing to whine about anymore. Of course if they were able to stop the whining then they would have no more money from their even more obnoxiously whiny fans and so then they would have a reason to whine about their "problems" because they no one would give a shit about them anymore. Their lyrics are horrific and I want to strangle the lame-ass rapper until his eyes pop out of their sockets and roll off the stage.
ICJ: check out Porcupine Tree sometime. (The live DVD "Ariving Somewhere" is what I have; you can actually download the soudtrack from their online store--costs money but, you konw, hey. Filesharing, y0.) They manage to make complex music while at the same time sounding pretty "poppy".

I like that 100.5 in ROX (which is the clear channel station that plays yuppie rock like U2 and Nickleback on shuffle play) pays some retard to say which song they just played.
GAITLEY is his name
an example
GAITLEY- That was U2 with "with or without off there Josua Tree album, cool tune.
Listner- GWAFFFF U2 JOSHUA TREE??? CORRR WHY HAVEN'T I HEARD THIS, GOOD THING HE LISTED THE BAND NAME, TITLE AND ALBUM OFF A SONG THAT HAS BEEN PLAYED 8 BILLION TIMES. IF ONLY THE CLASSIC ROCK STATION WOULD TELL ME WHICH LED ZEPPLIN ALBUM STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN IS OFF OF BLRUBRBBBBBB"

Without looking it up, how many here can name the album that Stairway To Heaven appeared on?
The reason why he does that is because people like me listen occasionally, can hear songs 40 times, and never know who the artist is, because I was apparently supposed to be born with this hipster knowledge, because all of these bands are totally not interchangeable!
Granted, U2, sure, but the rest of them? How am I supposed to download the one cool song any of these loser bands made without knowing their retarded band name?

And I don't even like Led Zepplin (although Stairway to Heaven is an amazing song).
The stations that should tell you what the song is called, because they play new music, don't. On the other hand, out here you get, "That was Sususidio by Phil Collins." I'd have never figured that the fuck out, if he was being tortured by Al Qada and his mommy was named "Susudio" he wouldn't have said it as many times as he says it in the actual song.

Well here is the funny part.
First the Nerve came out 95.1 first ones to play Modern Rock that was mainstream, Nirvana, STP
Then
94.1 came out which played the modern rock songs that weren't edgy, like softer Nirvana songs, goo goo dolls
THEN the nerver switched to like 107.3
Then 94.1 went out of business,
Then the nerve went out of business.
Then 94.1 became the Zone which plays the exact same thing as the Nerve
THEN 100.5 came on, took the playlist from the old 94.1 (soft modern rock) and has an advertising campaign about how different they are playig a music catalog they found in there studio from a failed station that was around 10 years ago.
So if you lived in Rochester for 10 years you have heard every song played currently on 100.5 a million times. It is rather annoying.
Why do I listen? Because my work truck has 4 presets and I am in it for at least 4 hours a day. And I'm not getting staelite. I would think 90% on the songs played on Rochester radio need no introduction
