Okay, unlike Saw, it wasn't written and acted by a bunch of C-grade losers, and didn't suck.

Also, there were lots of places where they were out of the room in Saw. I think Pinback is being too hard on Saw. Saw was better than Deathproof and many other movies!
Saw movies 2-6 turned weird, but the first Saw is extremely good.

The first Saw is the only one that was remotely acceptable. 2.5 stars, at MOST.
Calling it "extremely good" is... well, that's your opinion.
