Loved it.
The first hour is all Street Trash "everyone is the worst person ever" vibe shoved through black and white Lynch arthouse, and the last half hour (when the Centipede is constructed) is the most gruesomely disgusting thing ever put to film.
Audacious in every respect. Casablanca it isn't, but Tom Six had a vision to make the most repulsive movie ever made, and succeeds in, if you will, flying colors.
Laurence Harvey's "Martin" is as memorable a horror "villain" as you'll ever encounter. Where's his goddamn Oscar?
About the black and white/color:
The two are used in exactly the same way Schindler's List used them, except where color was used in List to highlight a simple, glimmering symbol of hope, it is used here to highlight the worst thing ever imaginable.
Well done, all.

Martin really gets the "complex seeming" villain thing down: the only problem I had with the movie were some of the meta meta meta elements going on (which were obviously meant to be ironic and self degrading for the actors involved).
Anyway, isn't Human Centipede 3 supposed to be a direct sequel and pick up where this one leaves off? Can't imagine how it could be any more disgusting / gore filled.
