I got a fantastic ebay deal on an authentic early-mid '90s Wendel Clark Maple Leafs jersey. It was from his second stint with the team, after Doug Gilmour was made captain. Clark had been captain of the team in the 80s, but the second time around, he wore the "A" on his chest instead of the "C." I wore it to the Leafs/Whalers (they'll always be the Whale to me) game here in Raleigh last month, and a few other times when a buddy and I have gone to a sports bar to watch the Whalers in Toronto. I gotten many compliments on it.

I also have an authentic Jays jersey from the late 90s as well as a few replica jays jerseys from the early 90s. And a couple Bills jerseys too.

Hey fella, if I see a guy in a kilt he ought to be skirling bagpipes. I don't see no bagpipes in that picture. I think I was cheated and I want my money back. What has the world come to? What the hell is a guy who isn't gay doing wearing a kilt (or any kind of plaid skirt) if he ain't gonna skirl bagpipes? (I know he ain't gay; gay guy flaunts his package, not cover it up with his hands.)

And he had better not play bagpipes or I personally would come down there and shove them down his Englishman throat. No True Scotsman would ever be caught dead or in any other condition doing anything with bagpipes except skirl them.

And what was the point here? Attempting to emphasize his sartorial inelegance, lack of color sense, or his failure to carry the mandatory set of bagpipes (with which one must always skirl, never play) when wearing a kilt?

I was once trying to get a jersey for every NBA team. Today I don't even watch sports anymore and I'm too fat to wear any of them. The end.

Do you still have that music video on Youtube where you're wearing that wig and an NBA jersey? That was really the pinnacle of your music career, you know.

I made it private once I saw the views had gotten a little too high into embarrassment level.

And you're wrong. My fake Black Sabbath leak is by far my biggest success.

OK, you guys up above shut up, I've got a story. Here is how I GOT and RUINED the LaFontaine jersey:

- I packed it to my trip to Rio Rancho a couple years ago. I thought the nights would be cool. They were sort of cool!

I wore it to a movie. I don't usually go to movies by myself, but I was watching Pinback's dogs and god dammit, I needed to get out of that house for a few hours.

Because I was by myself, I ordered the second-largest popcorn they had. Not the fuckoff tub, but the other one.

I got butter ALL over the jersey as I sat there and ate like an asshole.

You can see it if I point it out. Women can see it. I am sure it's fine for guys. My girlfriend claims she knows how to remove it but I dunno.

All this has been bumped because I am a disgusting manorc and because gsdgsd has let me know that there could be....... another......

So that there's not too much disappointment -- the LaFontaine Sabres is a road blue (which would now be a home blue. Hockey, so confusing). So it's not an exact replacement. On the bright side, if you ever get the butter stains out, you can go home/away and be set for a full weekend!

In my defense, a jersey covered completely in theater oil is still a better design than the Buffaslug.

Update! Greg did send me the LaFontaine blue. Mel likes it better than the white one because it is not covered in theater butter.

Update! My brother got me a #53 Vaughan Johnson Saints jersey. Here's Vaughan Johnson:

That's the paradox of Vaughan Johnson. Why make a neckhole in a jersey for a man with no neck? I feel he was the unsung hero of the Dome Patrol.

Lastly, $25 Chinese Jack Eichel jersey. It is my new favorite object in the world, and I can't believe how nice it is, how cheap it was, and that it made it in like 2 weeks:

Say, chum, do you remember which Chinese site you used? Is it still in operation? Asking for a friend etc.

That's cool!

Only jersey story I have is my wife was always a fan of Jim Hofford when he was playing for Rochester. I guess he was a half step above goon level. I dunno, I never saw him skate but I heard all about his hip checks and penalty minutes.
After we got married I secretly had an Amerks jersey made at the place where the team gets them. Then I looked up his address and drove over there and had him sign the jersey for me. It was a great first anniversary present for her.

Yessir! While it was aliexpress.com, you kinda have to find the right retailer on aliexpress.com. I guess a good way to put it is like the ebay/seller model.

Let's see if who I ordered from is still in business, or if everyone is in jail for counterfeiting:

OK. They were called "Canada Best Sport" and while they are on aliexpress, they no longer have product. So I guess they got busted.

Here is one that has had 138 orders. I dunno if they are shutting them down or what, I thought they used to all have more:

Aliexpress isn't always perfect. I had to call my credit card company up once because some seller was playing games. However, with about a half-hour's worth of work you can probably find someone legitimate. I think the trick is that if the order isn't placed and shipped in a couple days, dispute it and if they start trying to make excuses, just call your CC company and get the charge reversed and try with a different seller.
