JONES MAKES A BUTT ROAST

Post by Ice Cream Jonsey »

CROCK POT PORK ROAST
1 Boston Butt
1 onion
Put roast in crock pot, slice onion on top. Sprinkle with pepper. Pour small amount of barbecue sauce over top of the onions. Put about 1 cup of water in bottom of the pot and cook on low for 10-12 hours. Can be sliced and serve with vegetables or chopped and served on buns.
I'm gonna try this with the crock pot. Except I used veggie broth instead of water, and I think I am gonna save my onion for making a curry later this week. Oh, and no BBQ sauce.

Might throw the carrots in, though. I do like a slow-cooked carrot.

Anyway, I started it at 11 and I am gonna leave for work at 9. So that's 10 hours. I am sure

This post shifts from future tense to past tense so fast it'll make your head bleed. First he's all, maybe I'll use an onion, maybe I'll use a carr--I STARTED IT AT 11 AND IT'S BEEN COOKING FOR TEN HOURS!!!!

I ate it (well, one serving) and it was delicious. This is the ONLY way I will take carrots from now on. In fact, I am pulling this out and making a vegetable stew tonight. J'accuse!

Many, including this author, feel that slow-cooked carrots are really the only acceptable way to eat carrots! All other methods are, by definition, unacceptable!
