I have done a 1 minute video to test my new webcam. The thing does a pretty good job even if the recording program can't go much more than about 352x288 which is either 1/2 screen or 1/4 (the program freaked out and lost the webcam when I tried to ask for 640x480 which is full screen video).
Correction to the above: I got the system working that it can record 640x480 video; a link appears below.
The audio on it works okay and it does full 30fps video, and the only thing I had to do was turn on an extra light to boost the light level to the equivalent of near 200 watts. (I don't know what the numbers are because all my lamps are CF (Compact Fluorescent).
The "legs" or stands it has work and it is able to sit on the top of my monitor okay.
The resulting video is a little over 6 meg and runs about 1 minute and 14 seconds, is 1/4 size at 352x288 and is at
