Nine months ago, President Obama signed the bill that repealed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
As of midnight tonight, gays and lesbians will be openly able to serve in the U.S. Military, and sexual orientation will no longer be a factor in being a soldier. And you know what the result of this change in policy has been?
Nothing.
I think it was said that in a lot of military companies that in a number of cases the guys knew if another one of their buddies was gay, but as long as the guy (or gal) backed you up when you're out in the foxholes and firefights, it didn't matter.
And anyone who thought there haven't been gays in the military since the time of Julius Caesar is kidding themselves.
Here come the gays with automatic weapons

Given the general rise in expenses and fall in the typical standard of living, the future ain't what it used to be.

A naval officer, whose name couldn't be released until today (and they mentioned it on the newscast), went to Vermont and at 12:01 this morning, got married in Vermont to his boyfriend of 11 years.
He stated that he intends to have a long career in the navy.
