Hey, Commander Tdarcos - do you download movies and TV for free off the Internet? Christ, if I had been through some of your misadventures, that's all I would ever do.

Whoops. I have seen Star Trek. Right after ICJ mentioned that one, TDarcos started talking about his dick problems and I kind of wiped all that from my memory. I had to. A guy's gotta eat, eventually.pinback wrote:You haven't seen Star Trek.Flack wrote:I haven't seen any of the shows in your top 5 list.
TIME TO GET DOWNLOADING.
The Star Trek I've seen the most of is the original series, and I'd say I've seen maybe 25% of those episodes and probably couldn't write a recap of any of them. As far as the movies go, I've seen the one with Khan, the one where Spock dies, and the one with the whales on Earth. Again, I couldn't summarize the plots of any of them. Perhaps it's time to revisit this classic. I have every episode of the original saved "somewhere".
The only Trek's I've watched where the original and TNG. No Babylon 5 or any other spin-offs for me.

No Star Trek: Babylon 5 for you? How about about Star Trek: Firefly?Flack wrote:The only Trek's I've watched where the original and TNG. No Babylon 5 or any other spin-offs for me.
Star Trek: Manimal?
Surely you caught a few episodes of Star Trek: Judge Judy or Star Trek: Lakers vs. Timberwolves??

My understanding is that, at some point, whoever did Deep Space Nine said, "f Star Trek, we're telling a multi-season story here." I would like to watch one a day for a year or whatever and get the whole thing down.
From what I have read, the story they told was really good, and I have heard it described as "the best of Star Trek." For whatever that's worth.
My list should probably go:
1. Breaking Bad
2. Misfits (and there is going to be a season three of Misfits, they could ruin everything)
3. The Wire
4. Always Sunny
5. Firefly
6. Trek
7. Archer
TV really has gotten better, in terms of my tastes and the shows I like to mount. ("Like, to a drive letter?") No.... No. I don't mean that at all.

Benjamin "Pinback" Parrish is a big fan of "H." Jon Benjamin, but won't watch "Archer." I'm bringing this up to humiliate him.

Archer isn't funny. Or at least, not as funny as it should be, because he doesn't write it. You like it because it has the same goddamn problems that Always Sunny has, which is:
THESE SHOWS (and Robb J. Sherwin) THINK THAT TALKING FAST AND LOUD == COMEDY.
(PS IT DON'T)

As luck would have it, this is actually what I'm a doing right now. However, I am on Season 2, and like all Star Trek shows except the original, Season 2 is a steaming pile of crap.Ice Cream Jonsey wrote:My understanding is that, at some point, whoever did Deep Space Nine said, "f Star Trek, we're telling a multi-season story here." I'm told Season 3 is where Sisko gets a beard and the show gets good. This is what I'm told.
My objection is, the show is called STAR TREK, and they never GO ANYWHERE.

"No." - cast of Deep Space 9.
