Did anyone get the new Metropolis? With all the lost footage?
Does ANYONE ON EARTH know what I am talking about?

I don't have the new one yet. I got the old one on some "25 movies for $25" box set I bought. Not only was it not the remastered version, but I think it may have been the opposite of remastered. Like, maybe it was unmastered, and looked worse than the current bad copies floating around.

I had not paid any attention to Metropolis before I played BioShock. I was watching it being played on the Xbox recently, and it is very clear that a lot of the fonts come from the movie. Which I think is great. Objectivism has its own font! You don't see other political philosophies having their own font, except for Zionism, which has Wing Dings.

Speaking of Objectivism, did anyone ever see the movie of The Fountainhead? Weird, strange film, and I happen to be a big fan of Ayn Rand.Ice Cream Jonsey wrote:I had not paid any attention to Metropolis before I played BioShock. I just hope they don't screw up the movie version of Atlas Shrugged, which happens to be my favorite book. If they're going to do a decent job on Atlas it would have to either be a long movie, multi-part (Like Kill Bill or the latest Harry Potter flick), or it will have to be a mini-series, possibly like Evening in Byzantium or The Thorn Birds.
