I thought it was the best dramatic zombie thing I've seen.

Mind you, though, I think most if not all dramatic zombie things are total shit.

I concur. It's definitely on par with 28 Days Later, except with more traditional zombies (no runners).

Between last week and this week I had HD cable installed so I'm looking forward to seeing all the special effects in 1080p this time around.

I guess the series is based on a comic? I haven't seen the comic so the storyline is new to me.

This show is weak. It is half-baked. Neither of those things in the good way.

It's our kind of fucking show. <<---

The first episode was good. The second one was borderline unwatchable. I skipped the third one.

I liked the first one, missed the second one, and then didn't want the third one because I hadn't watched the second one yet. I play to acquire episodes two and three and watch them before episode four.

The second episode had some, uh, plot holes, and I hope every episode isn't going to be 'will this group of survivors escape from this place surrounded by zombies?', but looking forward to catching up with ep 3.

Frank Darabont laid off the entire writing staff at the end of season 1.

I saw about three minutes of it last weekend. Long enough for a guy in a bathrobe get hit from behind with a shovel and wake up in a bed.

Oh, there was a zombie also, but it got shot poste-haste.

EDIT: UMMMM,

Yeah, it's... he created it, developed it. He's kind of "the boss".

Kinda his show.

He's the boss but he couldn't be bothered to write a season's worth of shows? Explain that, please.

I watched the first episode today. It was OK. I don't think anyone can do scenes anymore where one guy struggled to kill his zombie wife/girlfriend/mother. We've seen it all.

I'm watching the second episode, and the kid rescues the cop, and then a lady has a gun in the cop's face. "You've killed us all!"

Ah.

You've killed us all!!!!

Oh, two episodes in, and nobody has said the word "zombie" yet. They're "walkers." I really hate that. They're apparently embarrassed to use the term. I mean, they don't mind leveraging the thousands of hours of zombie-related content that has come before to help set expectations and making "zombies on TV" more crowded, but OH NO they won't actually have anyone SAY "zombies."

Cowards.
