Blue Jays vs Rockies, Friday June 11th, 2010.

So, I walk up to the gate and pay $50 for a ticket and sit down to catch the game. Parking was $10 and I bought a hot dog for ... well, $4.25 or something.

20 minutes before the game starts, they put the tarp out there and say there's a hail warning. It starts to rain and they tell everyone to get out of their seats. And I wait about another 30 minutes like an asshole under the cement. A guy asks me, "Can you check the radar on your phone?" And I'm like, "Uh... where?" And he says, "try Weatherchannel 80222." Well, 1) I can't get to that website and 2) My fucking phone sucks and can't connect to anything over 3G. I awkwardly try for a few minutes and tell him, "Sorry." HUMAN CONTACT. LOVE IT.

So it starts to REALLY rain at this point. I'm like, "fuck THIS" and I leave. I walk two blocks to my car in this absolute pissing rain and go home. I'm soaked. It's raining the whole way there.

I'm home for another 20 minutes and I hear on the radio they're going to play it anyway. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME. Well, maybe I'll go back to the park... but it's STILL RAINING.

Fuck this, I'm 36, I'm not sitting in the goddamn rain. I could get to the park just fine, but it's STILL RAINING. And the seat would be wet. And I know these fucking cocksuckers are going to call it after five innings.

Anyway, they go and play in this slop anyway and get 5 innings in. Then they call the game. The fucking end. Total cost: $65 not counting gas. Number of pitches seen: zero.

At least the hot dog was terrible.

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL. This is now the third game I've had tickets to that was rained out. Stubhub attempted to rip me off for the first two games, but I exchanged those tickets for tickets Sunday. This one was a rainout, only since they got 5 innings in, I won't get a refund or any sort of exchange. What a fucking debacle. Any stadium that gets built without a retractable roof ought to be blown up by Al-Queda.

It's raining right now. I'm not going to go tonight. I'm sure they'll get five innings in. YAAAY. What a mess. Why the fuck is there 162 baseball games. 154, like what Roger Maris needed to break Babe Ruth's record, is fine and provides more off-days so they're not playing in this shizzle.
