Without comment:
It's seems like a long October for Jeter, whose Yankees missed the playoffs this year after a 13-season string of postseason appearances.

"It feels like it should be about the middle of November, so it's been a little awkward," said Jeter, who hasn't been watching the World Series games between Philadelphia and Tampa Bay.

"I see highlights of them. If I'm not playing in it, I don't really want to sit around and watch, but I'd be lying to you if I said I'm not interested in what's going to happen."

He laughed when asked which team he's rooting for. "I'm not rooting for anybody," he said.

Also, the comment I was going to make in the first post is that Derek Jeter is a goddamn dick in the queef.

A.J. Burnett did, in fact, file for free agency.

Word around town is that the Orioles might be a destination for him, because his wife hates leaving Maryland and won't fly. A.J.'s contract specified that she got a number of round-trip rides from Maryland to Toronto.

(Word on the street is that the other major player will be whoever is going to give him the most money.)

He went to the Yanks: 5 years, 82 mill. They will love him there, and by that I mean, he won't pitch another full season till his next contract year in 2013.
