Fourth row orchestra seats in St. Louis.

You can all suck it.

I still have to listen to something by him to know why everyone in the world thinks he's the cat's tits.

First listen to Frank's Wild Years.

Then listen to Rain Dogs.

And note that he does a good deal of genre-hopping, so give each album a full listen.

Then some other highlights:

Swordfishtrombones
Small Change
The Black Rider

After that you can venture far and wide. His more recent albums are solid, but with the exception of The Black Rider, I'm not in love with any of them the way I am with his 80's and late 70's stuff.

If you can find the vinyl of the double-album Asylum Years, that's an EXCELLENT collection of his 70's stuff. The CD version of Asylum Years stupidly swaps out some essential songs for mediocre ones.

Just wanna chime in to say that I have third-row orchestra seats, but we are all the way over to the right so I don't know if it's really better.

Nope, in Tulsa.

I'm actually pretty surprised he's coming here; we haven't gotten anyone good since last July, when we had GWAR and the Flaming Lips.
