I think this is the first time I've said this, but I would be happy if both Ricciardi and Gibbons were fired tomorrow. Only because you can't fire the players.

I just read a stat that said that the Jays are winning at a .710 clip when Halladay gets a decision, and are playing .462 when he does not pitch. Get rid of both the GM and manager. I fail to see how anyone's going to do any worse, and we might have a crack at drafting high schoolers or going out of slot if we get some new blood in management. I hope Gibbons latches on with an NL team and wins 90 games, he seems like a good guy. But something's got to change.

Also, I think the two bands of WNY/S. Ontario fuckups just need to combine forces. Toronto should just replace the Jays with the current roster of the Buffalo Bills. I'd have a lot more confidence in a CF platoon of Losman/Edwards right now.

To anyone besides Bugs and myself that care about the team: I screamed and bitched like a four year old on the main page today.

Someone make RobB poster of the month for April, quick! Who do we talk to about that? Who's in charge around here anyway?

Vernon Wells was going to give me the award for April, but he dropped it.

...

... OK, I was going to hit submit, but the 80s Shoutcast station I have on just played "You Can't Hurry Love" by Phil Collins and then "Land of Confusion" by Genesis. What kind of shit is that? Even people who like the 80s get their Fill Collins in like one motherfucking song.

FUCK THIS

Here's the lineup for tonight:
Alex Rios RF
David Eckstein SS
Scott Rolen 3B
Matt Stairs DH
Vernon Wells CF
Lyle Overbay 1B
Aaron Hill 2B
Adam Lind LF
Gregg Zaun C
This is the offense we waited a month for. (Last night, Shannon Stewart, No, Not That One was DHing.) (Which he should never do, seriously, keep fuckin' Stairs out there against lefties.)

My prediction:

The Jays will win.
The Jays will score 6 runs.
Adam Lind will go 2-3 with a walk and a home run.

I would also like to hear if BUGS, PINBACK or JONATHAN "SOUND ADVICE" BODDIFORD have any predictions.

All right, the Jays 1) lost, 2) only scored one fucking run and 3) Lind did not hit a home run.

Adam Lind did go 1-3 with a run, however, which made him the only non-let down at the plate.

An amazing outing by Dustin McGowan. I can't believe the pitching the team has put forth recently. I expect a Baltimore Raven-like riot between the offense and the defense soon.

Scott Rolen has been as advertised, so that's good. I can't even blame the pen for last night's loss - Toronto should be scoring 4 or 5 runs a game. And apparently 12 hours is all I need to go from saying "fuck this" to wanting to watch the next game.

So. My prediction for tonight - with a knuckleballer on the mound for the Red Sox, and A.J. Burnett for the Jays:

1) Jays win.
2) Jays score 5 runs.
3) Adam Lind goes 2-3 with a homer and a walk.

So, I use MLB.tv at work.

I installed GOM Player for a video thing on this PC. Then MLB.tv didn't work any longer.

I uninstalled GOM Player, and now it does.

Thanks for coming into the office today, MLB.tv.

I predict the Jays will not finish 2nd in the AL East this year. Honestly, it's either first or the basement at this point.

I predict RobB will blow a gasket before the all-star break.

I am absolutely amazed how unearthly shitty this worthless team is with runners in scoring position. Unfuckingbelievable.

Rios, with two outs and the bases loaded, hits its to fucking Ramirez who hilariously makes a good enough play to catch it in the air.

Jesus FUCKING Christ. This is the absolute worst manifestation of "Moneyball" on-base percentage-slurping shit I've ever seen. Everyone gets on base! Nobody scores! Ho ho ho! Ha ha ha!

This makes me fucking sick.

Eckstein just failed to score from second on a ball Stairs hit to the centerfield fucking wall. In fact, he was tagged out. Not at home! He was tagged out because he fucked up running the bases.

Unbelievable. It really is the players. I don't see what firing Gibbons would accomplish.

I think we have figured out the key to winning: Do not let the opposition score any runs.

Well, I have an idea as to why the Jays have never and will never get on a lengthy winning streak. Barajas and Scutaro are out there today. Two wins (only because the staff has shut out the opposition) and it's time to get the scrubs some playing time.

Granted, Scutaro hit a home run. But WHY THE FUCK IS ROLEN NOT PLAYING? I'm sorry, I don't buy this "needs a day off" shit.

.235 .381 .324
Yeah, maybe J.P. was on to something.

The Blue Jays will make the playoffs this year despite scoring only 300 runs in the regular season.

That, or as you intimated RobBbuhbuh, Halladay will lose 20 games and still receive Cy Young votes.

Book it, done.
