I have on occasion noticed the discrepancy far later (after coming home) and went back to the store and insisted they take my money. If I wanted to steal, I would do it. I refuse to be some petty cheat who lives under the protection of the law, like chris the garbage can mastermind.
Good point Bobby!
Yeah, the extra couple bucks isn't worth it to me knowing someone else is going to get their ass beat or fired for their mistake. Pointing out their mistake will teach them well enough that they should pay a little more attention to change issues, and I don't need the money so much that someone with a shitty minimum wage job needs to suffer over it. If the question asked is whether or not I WOULD ever keep the money, I guess I would, but I'd have to be pretty hard-up to do it. And by that I mean starving.

These are events which have occurred to me this week, and it's a damn sight better content-generator than Jonsey writing two-page missives against something that nobody could possibly discern what it is he's talking about since he provides no context.Vitriola wrote:What's with the Ethics questions? No context at all. None.
When you need my help because I'm ruining everything, don't look at me.

This is from Scruples, no? The wacky game of what-would you-do from Parker Bros.
Let's think this through. The cashier is responsible for any differences in his/her cash drawer. I guess it depends on how nice they were to me. if I am suddenly directly responsible for getting them written up and or possibly fired then it's a heavy decision I bear.
I voted to keep the six bucks tho. let this be a lesson to myoptic cashiers everywhere.

Yeah -- corporations have determined that they will increase sales by a tenth of a percent if they ask you "Would you like any PASTARIESZZ?" when you go in for your coffee. THEY, their marketing department, are the assholes. However, it's not those people the rest of us normal humans have a problem with. I return the $6.25 because, as Worm said, if I am going to steal it will be on my terms.AArdvark wrote:This is from Scruples, no? The wacky game of what-would you-do from Parker Bros.

As for the $40 - there is no way to know who that belongs to. Keep it and you have almost a quarter of the bill for a "Mr. Do!" knocked off.

however the Pizza place me and Robb love here, once gave me a pie, and it was real busy. Normallly I pay and wait a little bit, but didn't this time. I got home and realized I never paid for the pie and went back and paid, thats cause I like them but rest of the worlds businesses can fuck off.
the last group complained, quite tellingly They said, "Why don't you have a spoon that just says 'Earth?' It would save time
