I don't remember the last time I saw a Saint halfback run for this much yardage at once, regardless of whether or not it counted.

Dominick Davis for the Houston Texans is gone for the season.
This was the guy the Texans were completely confident in... thus allowing them to pass on Reggie Bush.
I don't understand why the Texans are fucking terrible every year, but I do know why their owner wanted to eliminate the cap. Jesus Christ, put some of these guys on a level playing field and they may never have a winning record.

I'm not here to gloat. Brown fan and Packer fan can look at their horrible teams and say to themselves, "We're going to the playoffs!!" and that's admirable. It's sweet. Funnily enough, the Saints just beat the Browns and play the Packers next.
The Packers are coming off a 0-26 effort against Chicago.
The Packers also put up over 50 points on the Saints last year. I don't think the Saints are going to run away with this or even win, but Green Bay would be a fantastic team to take advantage of, early in the season. (And no, I do not believe it ultimately matters much, as N.O. is probably a 7-9 team at best.)
Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister both looked great. I don't need to extinguish someone else's flame to make mine glow brighter. (I did all that on like 5 other boards, so that's also why.) They both got a lot of carries and passes thrown their way. It was awesome. Sean Payton seemed to think, hey, win or lose I'm going to get Reggie the ball as much as humanly possible. It's always nice when coaches just do the thing you'd do if you were playing the team in NFL2K5.
As for Jim Haslett... his defense in St. Louis perplexed a Bronco team that was the second best in the AFC last year. I hope things work out for him. There is no bitterness there. He was the only guy to lead the Saints to a playoff win and for that he's always going to be a great guy. I hope his defenses do well against everyone but N.O.
