They just broke down Babe Ruth's swing on Baseball Tonight. I know that cameras back in the day sucked, but it took THREE FRAMES for his hands to be away from his body until they were through the pitch. I don't know if this compares well to everyone else at that time or what, but it was shocking to see. He was too fast for film (almost).
Oh, and if you have any children and they have misbehaved, Baseball Tonight offers a substantial amount of punishment whenever the camera is focused on John Kruk.
Single-handedly the reason I haven't upgraded to HDTV yet.
Also, Baseball Tonight is completely unwatchable. Matt Holliday and Roy Halladay had big games today. I will let everyone in on the fact that:
1) Neither is spelled "Holiday" and
2) IT'S NOT A FUCKING HOLIDAY.
That didn't stop Karl Ravech from saying, "HOLLIDAY! IT IS A HOLIDAY! HOLIDAY! HOLIDAY!" about 400 times in two minutes. He hasn't even gotten to the Blue Jays highlights yet, but ... he can't possibly... he can't say the same thing, can he?
I mean, if it's May fucking 8th and you show no restraint, you'd essentially just lose it any time either of those guys has a good game. That's asinine. There's no way they'd let him on TV if he was that simple.
Oh. And Roy finished off the Angels in 1:59. 119 minutes. It takes me about 85 minutes to get home. So I have 34 minutes of ROY HALLADAY baseball until I get a house.

Yeah, I was hoping to go with the Milker on Friday, some other friends on Saturday and Dayna on Sunday.
The Milker just broke his ankle and my other friends have not written me back yet. I get to be "creepy loner rooting for visiting team" guy for two days, most likely. A role I will play well! I cannot WAIT to give a standing O the first time one of our pitchers goes through a routine 1-2-3 inning. It's going to be a dream come true. I've never seen the Jays outside of the Skydome.
