truffles

Post by Casual Observer »

Do any of you home chef's have any suggestions for things to do with black truffles. I was given a couple good sized truffles and was wondering about ideas beyond the obvious like adding to eggs/pate/sauces.

A little bit of truffle goes a very long way.

Shave them *thin*, sautee them *lightly*, and put them in a creamy, garlicky pasta sauce, I'd say.

Thanks bruce, i'm going to try a red sauce with lots of wine and garlic (can't stand creamy sauces). Anyone have other ideas? Pinback the gourmet?

I had no idea that truffles were anything other than chocolate delicacies.

I have a $3 can of Discount Cavier if you think it will help, m'man. Just let me know.

Yeah. Learn to like cream sauces, and don't waste truffles in a red sauce. Need something a lot more delicate than that.

Seriously. Cream sauces are where it's at. Work on it.

Posting so "AssClown" doesn't show up as the last guy to post in this base.

Oh yeah, I broke 300K in Crystal Castles last weekend, crushing what Pinback did by about 100K. SUCK IT, PINNER.
