[Jim Rome] Hilariously Depressing.

Post by pinback »

Has anyone noticed that for this season, the Jim Rome ESPN show has changed its name from "Rome is Burning" to "Jim Rome is Burning"?

Would anyone care to hazard a guess as to why they've decided to change that name?

Would anyone subsequently like to move to Canada or Australia or something and get the fuck out of this embarassing country?

Or am I reading too much into this?

"Jim Rome is Burning"... because they think that Americans do not understand the reference?

Is that it? Is that where you were going with it, Pinner?

No. Don't you think they did it to be a little "sensitive" about the current "state" of the "nation", as many have likened these times to the beginning of the "fall" of "Rome"? Don't you think that?

I think you're stretching. It's probably just a branding thing.

lOOK, Jim Rome DOES NOT play the fiddle. He has these 5 second pauses between sentences, it gets annoying. Maybe he could work on his cogitation skills. If anyone does not get the reference of rome burning then they should go back to school

public school, where they have to pass through metal detectors.........................................yeah, go right on in , but dont take that nail file with you, Drew Barrymore..........................

Ok you get the point
