2025's Theme Dish!

Post by pinback »

Let's decide on the THEME DISH for next year, one we can all enjoy and put our spins on and learn all about.

This is more of a placeholder but I wanted to get the ball rolling before I forgot about this excellent narcotic pain-killer-based idea.

Will it be lasagna? Nobody knows!

It should be a Rochester classic. I'm making my first Chicken French and Artichoke French this new years for example. Maybe the most outrageous garbage plate or something.

I'll compile all of your suggestions and then we'll settle this together... as a community.

I dont know if it could get enough votes, but I would like to hear everyone's favorite smoothie/protein shake recipes. I have a tremendous chocolate peanut butter one that is AMAZING.

For me, 2025 is going to be the year of the cheese pizza. I've spent too many years pretending I like putting crap on top of a perfectly good cheese pizza and this ends now. If we get pizza, from now on instead of getting a large with whatever Kathy and Mina want on it, we're getting two mediums. They can mess up one, and I will have...

THE CHEESE PIZZA.

'Slop' as I call it. Make ramen using 1/2 as much water and 1/2 as many flavor packets. Heat up 1 or more cans of chili (1 can per 2-3 packs of ramen). Heat chili until hot. Boil water then add ramen, cook until ramen is not crunchy. Turn off heat. Pour ramen into a large bowl, pour chili on top of ramen, stir and serve. Looks weird, tastes delicious.
Given the general rise in expenses and fall in the typical standard of living, the future ain't what it used to be.

Game on, I'm buying a stone in January. The best pizza I've ever had was a cheese pizza in lower Manhattan, I'm going to try to recreate.
