FATMAN (2024)

Huge recommendation that you check this movie out. FATMAN is about Mel Gibson as an ass kicking Santa Clause. It's basically a Liam Neeson style action movie except Mel is an immortal Santa living on a farm in Canada. He's a regular guy except somehow knows absolutely everything about every person on Earth.

What's great about this movie is it's largely serious, not the campy Tim Allen bullshit movies.

Mel's Santa has been increasing the amount of coal he gives away because he's disgusted at current kids. Well, the government pays for his services but only pays for gifts delivered so his check is half what it was previous years. He calls in the government folks who tell him this and "oh, you can make it back for working for us". This Santa's workshop is a huge underground factory with Elves who eat nothing but sugar and apparently are the fastest hardest working best workers on the planet. Santa agrees to pull the Elves off vacation early and get working building control panels for the newest jet fighter.

The main plot arc is about a spoiled rich kid who when he gets his coal hires a guy (who also got coal as a kid) to kill Santa. Most of that story arc could be in any modern action movie, except Mel can't be killed (he can grow back any organ that isnt completely gone).

I was in absolite stitches laughing the entire film.
