It's a brisk 31 degrees out, and of course MLB should cancel the game tonight and give everyone their money back. They are already doing a double header on Sunday and can't do 3 games, so they are going to get this one in. Of course they are. Can't miss one of these 162(!) games. Capitalism.

Ticketmaster does not allow you to resell your tickets in this market. Makes sense because of capitalism because the Rockies are terrible and need every buck from the sale of a new ticket. This should be illegal. The move to computers didn't help consumers. Capitalism.

It's not just the naked aggression, they are SO incompetent. Ticketmaster wouldn't let me log in with their app. It brings up my default browser, Firefox, and it doesn't work with it on my phone. They wanted me to use the following:
- Seat Geek
- Google Wallet
- MLB At Bat app
- Some stupid "Rockies connection" thing.

The bar codes to get in, if we wanted, work like an hour before the game. That is this whole other thing.

Every time I try to get tickets to this shitty product, I have trouble. I think I am done buying baseball tickets. I think I'm finished doing this.

Yes! The may be the most grotesque things I've ever seen in my life, and one of the things I do believe you missed during your years away from the came are the line of baseball hats that look like they were covered in male semen. I will see if pictures are out there.

Watching the Blue Jays game tonight, while the City Connect jerseys look terrible, use colors never before seen in team history, worst stirrups ever put to cloth and have the most cliched, four-seconds-of-thinking image across them (WOW, the SKYLINE????), the bad news is that they still have the stupid and garish "TD" logo across the left sleeve. There is green nowhere else on the jersey. It is a visual abomination.

What I am saying is that the TD logo sticks out like a hat covered in jizz, which again, I know I have a picture of that terrible hat somewhere. The TD logo looks worse than if they just had a small square picture of the drip cap there, is what I am saying.

Ok. Wait. I haven't watched a ton of games lately, but there is a superimposed goddam CHARMIN LOGO across the pitcher's mound on the broadcast tonight. Or they actually painted it there, which may be worse.



How could anyone who cared about the sport allow a such a thing. How much money is enough? Why not just have all the players with toilet paper glued to their spikes? I genuinely feel disgust on behalf of the commissioner for working to make this happen, or not getting up and firing everyone involved. Goddamn that looks like trash.

This is moving the sport into a Nascar-esqe area. It's certainly taking away from the overall game experience.

It just looks like trash. Aside from one stretch of time here (where I had ads for a year and Google didn't pay me for them) I've never put ads on any site I've ever owned. It just looks awful. I'd be sick and embarrassed to get to the point in life where I owned a baseball team and turned on the TV one night and saw ads on the mound. Money can't buy dignity.

I hate the virtual ads while watching hockey games.

At first, I found the ones on the ice (just inside the blue line) to be very distracting, because they would "float" at times. But those got less distracting.

The ones on the glass behind the goalie are stupid, but harmless.

The ones on the boards that go "in motion" and start spinning are INCREDIBLY distracting. I hate them with every inch of my being.

Still somehow infinitely more imaginative than the Baltimore jerseys! (which has not kept me from giving the fine folks at DHGate my money for a Rutschman City Connect)

My son LOVES the Toronto CCs, calling me back in to see them over and over. So maybe there's your target audience.

Can't wait to see the jizz cap, bummed I missed that promotion.

In all honesty, I saw other pictures of the city connects and they looked fine. ALSO I get that some of these uniform choices are not meant for me. It's ok. I'm fine now.

The whole idea of the CCs is a bit undeveloped - something that only someone who lives there will truly get, I guess? Only someone who lives in Toronto will get a picture of the skyline. Only someone who lives in Baltimore will get block letters reading "BALTIMORE." and so on.

There are a few City Connect jerseys that I think are really cool - Seattle, Miami, San Diego, KC. Then there are a bunch that are just fine. Then a few lazy ones (StL, LA) and a few monstrosities. But I imagine they're all selling great. (On Chinese bootleg platforms.)

I feel like a beautifully haunting scene could be made for Baltimore's city connect jersey possibly depicting the silhouette of the Poe Toaster playing a lonely keen on a violin as he approaches the cemetery to lay flowers and cognac on Poe's gravestone. Or maybe they could do the part of the Baltimore skyline that has the harbor containing the shipping container of dead bodies that McNulty successfully argued was under his jurisdiction. Either one ICONIC.

Looks like the Orioles and Yankees will be battling it out for the AL East. I can't contribute meaningfully to that.

What I can do, because gsdgsd and I were talking about it the other week, is inline the picture of the ORIGINAL Blue Jays "drip cap."

This hat looks like the designer covered it with semen. It is disgusting. It should not exist. It sold out immediately.
