A question about a movie

Post by AArdvark »

My wife just put that Bruce Willis Christmas movie on the other day; Die Hard.

Q: When Bruce kills the first guy and sends him down the elevator (now I have a machine gun, ho-ho-ho)

Why didn't he take his shoes as well?

He tried them on and they were too small. That happens in the movie.

The director was a huge bare feet guy.

It happened in Castaway when Tom Hanks tried on the dead pilot's shoes. Wasn't even broached in Die Hard. I want a do-over

What do you mean? He tries on his shoes! They're too small! He cracks wise about it! Are y'all now watching with the sound AND screen off?

It must have been cut out in the version I saw. Or (more likely) I was not looking at the screen during those 10 seconds.

If that's the case, please talk among yourselves and enjoy the buffet

It was not cut out of any version that has ever existed.

I have never met a group of people collectively worse at watching movies and TV shows.

Huh, I remember that scene, but not when I watched it the other day.

I think one of the reasons I don't really watch tv is because the characters never do anything I tell them to do

I'll leave it at that

What movie is that?

Why doesn't he call the cops when he sees the dead body?

Of course, obviously, it was The Sound of Music, just like it says on the clip,

He tried that, it didn't work. The phones were cut, cell phones were very expensive then, so he used a citizen's band radio he liberated from one of the terrorists, after liberating him of his life. From the top of the building:

McLane: Mayday! Mayday! Anyone copy channel nine?, Terrorists have taken control of the Nakatomi Building, Century City!
Police Dispatcher: Sir, this channel is reserved for emergency communications only. If...
McLane: No fuckin' shit, lady, do I sound like I'm ordering a pizza?!
Given the general rise in expenses and fall in the typical standard of living, the future ain't what it used to be.
