The orderly transfer of power

Post by Tdarcos »

Let me ask you a question. In the United States, when a challenger wins an election, does the incumbent raise an army and fight to keep the office?

No, they graciously relinquish power nonviolently and often welcome their successor into office. It is a civilized society where the reins of power are voluntarily surrendered to the winner.

And now Donald Trump wants to fuck that up. He's announced he wants to spend six years in the Presidency if he wins reelection, even though his term could only be four years. The only way Trump can spend six more years in office is to use force. And let's not forget what Lt. Radchak said in Starship Troopers: "When you exercise force you are using violence, the Supreme Authority from which all other authority is derived."
Given the general rise in expenses and fall in the typical standard of living, the future ain't what it used to be.

But he's the only country leader who calls people "horseface" on twitter. He's OK in my book.
