My only annoyance is that Netflix usually only has the first season of a series available for streaming, so my option becomes to either rent the DVD or pirate it and have it almost instantly.
That has been a dilemma we have faced many a time, though I've noticed that recently most series we've been watching they have new seasons on a LOT more expediently.

They'll figure it out and then present it like it's a cool new thing that's never been done before.

Dude, I've gone Netflix and Antenna (yay WXXI). We got cable on a promo for a while, but the crap that's on, the bombardment of commercials and crap... hardly seems worth it. One day perhaps networks will figure it out and go a la cart streaming.

I'm just about ready to move all those auction shows into this category, not because they're offensive, but because they're blatantly fake. Of course last month there was the news about Dave from Storage Wars suing the show after being asked to put his own items in the storage units to spice up the show. Also in the paperwork it says that none of the auctions filmed for the show are real auctions, and that almost every angle of the show is scripted. That being said, it's the most realistic of all those shows. Last night we watched Container Wars (some other channel's rip off of Storage Wars) and, my God, I couldn't believe how fake it was. At one point two guys were about to get in a fight and it looked like one of them was trying not to laugh. Just ridiculous. Then we watched Container Wars and it's the same way, with people shoving and talking trash at auctions. It's all stupid, man.

Unless the video shows the person using it's not evidence of a crime being committed.
If you had seen the show you would know that almost every episode contains video of people using drugs.
Unfortunately none of TDR's new year's resolutions was "have any idea what the fuck I'm talking about before posting about it."
That hasn't stopped you from posting either, so what's the point?

My brother quotes a scene from a movie where a cop is talking to a junkie he doesn't like. "Look, over there, across the street a guy's selling crack. Why don't you go over and make a buy so I can bust your ass!"

There are multiple reality shows on television now that supposedly show criminal activities taking place. Take Moonshiners. Moonshiners has four camera crews. Three of them follow groups of moonshiners around the countryside as they make illegal moonshine. The fourth crew follows the sheriff around as he tries to find and bust these people. Why doesn't the sheriff just watch the dailies (or last week's episode) to figure out where these guys are operating from?

There are a couple of tow truck/repossession shows on right now that are so laughably fake ... I mean, they look fake on TV and people have shown how fake they are. People are always firing guns on these shows. Why aren't they all in jail? Because it's fake.

Don't get me started in this stupid ass Amish Mafia show.

Instead of an apology, can you please post an alternate, better psychic joke?

Wrong.
You know, Ben, you might actually be a worse asshole than I am, and that really takes practice and training.

wrong

Agreed -- and this is coming from a guy who, as a kid, thought Hee-Haw was a local variety show.
And now ladies and gentleman, Mr. Conway Twitty.
Ben, you've been watching Family Guy too much. I prefer Ronny Milsap, myself:

It reminds me of another song where a guy goes out walking in the rain to find his girlfriend who vanished, Elvis Presley's "Kentucky Rain."

In fact, it might be an interesting trivia question. Name three songs about a guy out walking in the rain because his girlfriend up and left him without telling him or giving a reason. Ronny Milsap, "Smoky Mountain Rain"; Elvis Presley, "Kentucky Rain"; Dion, "Runaway."

Were they all guys who beat their woman or is it something else?
