It isn't surprising that ICJ prefers the noir motif (in Blade Runner) over the thriller backdrop of Alien (FoD, ND, and CZ have heavy noir vibes and atmospheres to them).
As to my opinion, I'm going to remain impartial: BR and Alien could be construed as the most modern films I've watched in the last few years. However, the polish and craftsmanship of Blade Runner: The Final Cut really outshines that of Alien and other re-imaginings or "special editions," of other films.
