I will be entering this raffle a thousand times. It's for a genuine Super Bowl ring.

Baltimore street renamed in honor of God’s Linebacker. Part of North Avenue in Baltimore will now be known as Ray Lewis Way.
Ray Lewis DID kill two people, but nobody remembers this. You know what would be great? You and a friend getting murdered on Ray Lewis Way by Ray Lewis.

I like that there's a term for being terribly incompetent at your profession and craft.

Next time I try to do lawn work and I end up making my home seem as if it was built directly over the Chernobyl meltdown, I'll say I'm "laying out" and smugly wink at the audience.

by pinback » Sun May 02, 2010 10:35 pm

Buck was "laying out". That's the term they use to describe that.

I can't get over what a shitty call this is by Joe Buck.

Sometimes I think it's lost on just what a shitty world we live in, in some respects. I'm not complaining about the large picture, but some of the details.

In football, we have a completely passionless play by play guy who HAS to do every game. I don't know a single person who likes Joe Buck, much less prefers him. He is someone to be endured. And he does every big game Fox has.

In baseball, Tim McCarver infects every broadcast. I literally know more about baseball than he does, and he played the game. He brings down every show he does with his terrible and moronic insight.

And back to football, we will look back on this time, when the NFL had an exclusive agreement with EA Sports, and say, "Wow, there were zero good football games for a decade." It's just, we are living in this abortion of reality at the moment and nobody seems to have the big picture here. It's incredible frustrating.

If I didn't have a hundred other things to do, I guess I'd make a video with Jim Henderson's call of that kick set to the HD feed of the game.

Another amazing thing is how bitter Vikings fans still are. Five fumbles and the Saints end up winning the game that follows and they still think the Minnesota Vikings "deserved" to win the game. It's really funny.

(Also, Brett Favre just bothered to get his ankle look at now. It requires surgery if he's going to play this upcoming season. You definitely want to wait four months before getting it looked at, Brett! Hahaha!)

I never ate the crawfish.

A lot of help.

OK, someone basically did everything but fit the paper and hang it. BUT STILL:

And as of today, it's now:

121-151-1
to
123-150

The Saints BURSTING into a COMMANDING lead.

And as for three Super Bowl wins and played in five THAT WAS TEN THOUSAND YEARS AGO. Jesus Christ, were you doing the same thing in '04 when the Sawx won the Series? "COME ON GUYS CHILL, U GUYS ALREADY WON IN LIKE 1918. OMG."
Okay, I'm willing to concede this point now.

I hope the Redskins win the Super Bowl the next time the Saints aren't in the playoffs. I'd say "next year," but I want the Saints to make another run, of course.

It's time we all started pulling for Pinner. My sports grief, with the Jays and Saints former CHAMPIONS, has been eliminated.

Oh, the cats descended on it. Quickly.

by AArdvark » Sat Feb 20, 2010 5:13 pm

So whatever became of the crawfish that started the whole winning streak?

by Ice Cream Jonsey » Sat Feb 20, 2010 4:37 pm

Not at all.

I got my copy of ... well:

I'm gonna put a decal on my car for the first time ever. (Er, of any car. Not just the Subaru, but that's true, too.) And how about that, I need one of those coffee mugs you carry coffee in, and a scotch tumbler. Thank God "World Champs" versions of both exist.

Oh, and I should write a blog post about the SB too. I haven't even had a chance to watch the game again yet, just the 4th quarter.

Has the glow, the excitement died off yet?

Yes, I believe it has!

by Ice Cream Jonsey » Sat Feb 13, 2010 7:31 pm

I am intending to write a blog post about the Saints' Super Bowl Victory, and RJ being in the hall of fame this weekend. I've got some rough thoughts down, but that's it.

It's been a hell of a week.

I'd like to thank Flack, Jack Straw and Tdarcos for keeping the place hopping while I've been away. I will revisit all threads!

Thread title FAIL. The Pats did not score 28 points. You suck at predictions, RoBbeaux.
