Can I suck your Jabba-sized neck too, George?

Doesn't matter, I've already made over $300,000,000 (that's fucking Million) in the first four days. Broke records like a mutherfucker. So, Bruce, you can suck my lightsaber sized cock.

When George Lucas brought me Jar-Jar, I realized that, in fact, the Ewoks really were the moment when the shark was jumped.

And then when in the remake Greedo shot first, that was Lucas taking a giant steaming runny shit all over what was left of my childhood.

I'm not seeing Episode III in a theatre, and I'm not contributing to the DVD rental costs either. If someone else rents it I might watch it, if I'm drunk enough.

I saw SW Revenge of the Sith on Friday night in the large theater at Tinseltown. Not only was there no line but the theater was over half empty, which did surprise me. I liked it but was a little too drunk to remember everything about it so i'll have to see it again at the dollar theater.

Also, the Wrath of Kahn kicks ass to the point that I hate to call it a Star Trek movie - let's just call it a great movie without mentioning ST. When I was a kid, I watched it to the point where I knew just about every line.

IMHO, among all of the Star Trek and Star Wars movies, 'Star Trek 2' was the best in terms of pure sci-fi. It's just a great movie.

'Star Wars', however, is the best among them in terms of escapism and fantasy....it just happens to have a sci-fi theme to it.

As to 'Star Trek 6' vs 'Star Wars', on the whole, I couldn't pick one over the other. I liked 'em both, but for different reasons. 'The Empire Strikes Back' is as good as 'Star Wars', but 'Return of the Jedi' and the new trilogy sucks ass. Ness is right...the cuteness factor totally ruins it.

Seen the new Star Wars yesterday...No review tho. I did notice the space physics were way off. Nothing new, but this time it bothered me more. I just can't suspend belief that much when all these different spacecraft are making all these wild noises in a vacuum. No. The crafts behave like they are all in some tropospheric atmosphere, with banking manouvers and these 'buzz-droids' that become damaged on the wings of the spaceship and slide off due to some strange physical phenomenon. (if the craft were in an atmosphere everything would be behaving correctly)

I know this is a trademark of Star wars but it got to me yesterday.

Other than that the movie was pretty good. It wasn't WOW, but it was pretty good. I wanted more Darth Vader. Once he was suited up in the breath mask he was only on screen for two shots. And dint whip his lightsabre out once.

(speaking of lightsabers and suiting up, there were merchandising geeks in the thearer lobby dressed in the jedi robes selling SW junk. I ignored them mightily)

A good way to kill three hours. When does the 6 DVD set come out?

Oh, god. Oops, MY BAD!!

Cool, though, now we can add to your many laugh-tastic movie comparisons:
Oh, good. Hahha, you think that the shit that Lucas totally and completely stole from the Japs and Joseph Campbell is better than the best science-fiction-based story of REVENGE ever told. You stupid toad. What did it for you, shitface? The Wookiees or the Droids?

You're the only person who thought Magnolia was any good. Please stop playing to the crowd. The crowd hated it.

"Star Trek Six is better than Star Wars!" - R "ICJ" S
A movie about the end of the cold war, growing up, growing old, friendship and loyalty... versus uninspired, unoriginal crap that worked, if it worked at all, in spite of the writer/director.

Without Harrison Ford nobody would give a shit about Star Wars. Without Shatner, well, you still had Spock.

I think Star Wars was a neat concept - although it was never quite my cup of tea. But what really ruined it was when they resorted to tactics to give the movie an endearing quality of "cuteness" by injecting little furry creatures... Ewoks - and (god help us) Jar Jar Binks.

I can deal with Princess Lea as a slave whore in Empire. No one can diss Chewbacca. But the two aforementioned attempts at cuteness brought the entire thing to a new low in my humble opinion.

Star Trek 2 and 6 were better than any SW movie. I'd go ahead and say that SW and TESB were better than anything else Trek shat out, but still. KHHAAAA-aaa-motherfuckin'-AAAN.

Star Trek has had more decent films than Star Wars, but Star Wars has between one and three masterpieces, depending on who you ask.

Star Trek II is as close as ST can come to claiming a "masterpiece", but, let's get serious now.

If only the newer Star Wars films were any good. Oh, if only that. DAMN you, George Lucas' Neck! DAMN YOU TO HELL!

KHAAAAAN!!!!!!!!!!

I prefer Star Trek to Star Wars. Then again, Star Trek has had more decent films than Star Wars, so who wouldn't prefer them?

And lucky for my dignity there probably won't be another Star Trek movie for 15 years.

Don't care much about the movie actually....not nearly appealing enough to make go to a theater. Might rent it when it's out on DVD though.

by nessman » Sun May 22, 2005 2:22 pm

I have no interest in seeing the movie.
