Senor Barborito seemed to really like it on Caltrops. I didn't read all of his posts yet, as he stated that there were spoilers in the text, but yeah.. what the fuck is up with there being cultural references? I take it from your post, Worm, that they are Star Trek references? What the fuck? Did Barbie end up changing his mind? I am still of the mindset where I don't want the game spoiled for me yets, you need to be my proxy here, Worm.
Don't get me wrong. I can appreciate how difficult it is to be funny in a world where half of the crap we talk about hasn't happened yet, but Jesus. Why is the writing on 95% of all games shit? Why is Imoen saying "Geez!" in a Baldur's Gate game? People were funny in the 14th Century, it's not like they had to wait for 'Millipede' to be invented before the 'punchline.' (It just, on this BBS, seems that way.)
