No one will ever be Tim Curry's Dr. Frank-N-Furter... but it looks promising

Why! Oh the humanity! Is there nothing Hollywood will not taint in their all-consuming quest for the dollar!

A musical revival I would condone, but...a reboot? Never!

Let me guess.. it will be darker, grittier, more brooding.

More bullshit.

I'm sure there will be updated references for the audience to work with, and that's the real elephant in the crux of the matter, isn't it. The movie has been around so long that it's dated and the young adults with disposable income are out of touch with it.

"Hmm..nobody wears that style of dress anymore, why don't you go ahead and paint a NEW Mona Lisa and we'll hang it in the Museum of Modern Art."

So, I'm hoping it will fail, this new movie. I still have my VHS of the RHPS with it's red and black case. I also have the soundtrack on cassette, er.. somewhere. Those are good enough for moi so they should be good enough for all time. none of this revisionist remake stuff. Just for the sake of money. HmmpH!

I should have guessed =)
Actually, it looks like other than making the wardrobe and make up more modern that they are holding pretty true to the original... WHICH if you are a genuine fan... didn't the fans recreate in the theatre for each showing while we called Brad an asshole and Janet a slut?

I volunteered as a lighting volunteer for a Rocky Horror Picture Show troop. The biggest thing about this reboot for me is the fact a C level exec finally heard about it after only 30, 40 years?
